The first cob harvested

After 3 minutes in the microwave oven One can see that pollination could have been better (the stand was only a 7 X 2 plant block due to space restriction) Each strand of corn silk if pollinated gives rise to one corn kernel Cobs are harvested when the silk turns dry and brown

Other cobs harvested a few days later These appear to have been pollinated more regularly
